Animals

This class will cultivate an awareness of the animal physicality which we all share. We will work with perception through our senses: touch, sight, and sound to sharpen our physical tools. Then working physically with attention to our bones, our support structure, we will connect inner and outer spaces. We will investigate physical patterns that allow us to practice and explore deep connections between self and other, developing our strength, flexibility and co-ordination. We will then continue into group work with improvisational scores enabling us to explore our collective intelligence. We will encounter ourselves through our physical landscapes - our bodies.

Rosalind will draw upon her experience of improvisation, contact improvisation, release technique, voice work and somatic practices to guide the class. We will have the chance to question/observe and reflect on our experience. At times we will be working with both movement and sound.
